Farewell to Fairtrade at St Michael's

It was a sad reason to gather but a lovely gathering at The Wesley Memorial Church on Friday 30th June to say a final farewell to Fair Trade at St Michaels. We were all reminded of all the good that has come from the shop: the strength of the community past and present could not be doubted and with almost £3,000,000 worth of sales over the years so many producers supported as well.

In a powerful presentation Transform Trade reminded us that there is still work to do, and that there are opportunities in Oxford to do it....

And here's your first opportunity to keep the Fair Trade community in Oxford active:
Hear about a recent visit to Fairtrade cocoa producers in Ghana and taste Fairtrede chocolate  from Ghana, UK and France.
In March, CCOW's director visited Fairtrade cocoa producers in Ghana. Hear what she learned about the positive difference Fairtrade has made and the challenges the Fairtrade system faces. And taste some wonderful Fairtrade chocolate!

An event co-sponsored by CCOW and the Oxford Fair Trade Coalition. Free. All welcome.
