Fairtrade sign, part II

To follow on from my initial post regarding the Fairtrade sign, the following link maybe of interest:

Kate Griffin successfully made a request under the freedom of information act to find out who complained about the sign, their grounds for complaining about the sign and the grounds for catagorising the sign as advertising.

There has been a happy resolution to the course of events with a council planning officer confirming that a smaller sign as part of the church noticeboard would not need advertisement consent, and this is now in place.
